Mens 2nd team played another new to us Newcastle 2nd team knowing it was going to be a toughie based on their recent league results
First half started well with Norton having the luxury of 14 players and competing well with the very strong Newcastle side pressing hard and Juz had plenty to do with Newcastle having plenty of chances and managing to bury 2 penalty corners but a strong fight back saw an excellent piece of play seeing Carl sweep up a near post goal going into half time 1-2
Norton started the second half with gusto and with everyone playing well we had several early attacks involving Gabe, Ayan, Mustaffa, Gary, Ryan, Toby & Tom came very close but couldn't quite convert the chances
At the back Brian, Keith, Peter, Rich, Mike & Fin had plenty to do too and Newcastle snook another 3 late goals to seal the game... The final score line a little flattering for them... 1-3 would have been a fair result
